Shirley Lou Johnson

Born Shirley Lou Burgess in Parkersburg, WV on August 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Charles Burgess and the late Virginia Kinney. Shirley married her husband, Charlie W. Johnson in 1968. She and her husband settled in Gaithersburg, MD to raise a family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie, in 2005; and siblings Jeannie Tolbert and Nelson Burgess.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Bradette (Yvan) of Gaithersburg, MD, Carolyn Reid (Zach) of Gaithersburg, MD, and Melissa Johnson of Gaithersburg, MD; and her sister, Sharon Jenkins of Vanceburg, KY. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Heath Bradette, Cassie Lopez (Alvaro), Ryan Johnson, Sarah Reid and Megan Reid; and 1 great grandson Daylin Lopez.

A celebration of life service will be held in the Gaithersburg area at a later date in 2021.
