She was born in China in 1949 to Jung-Sheng Chen and Bin-Yun Hu Chen. Growing up in Taiwan, Tina was often the ringleader of her friends and sisters. After settling in Gaithersburg, Tina devoted herself to her family, church, and community. Every Sunday you would find Tina serving at Chinese Bible Church of Maryland in the morning, and running Chinese School in the afternoon. Every Thursday was dedicated to the Women’s Bible study group.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents, and by her beloved husband David Ching-Shang Lin. She is survived by her children Pei, Ruth, Michael, and Joseph; her grandchildren Aaron, Sophie, Ahlora, Christian, and Alex; her sisters Witty, Emily, and Tina; and her niece and nephews Jason, Ann, Andrew, Benjamin, and Brian.
A visitation service will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026 1-2pm at Devol Funeral Home in Gaithersburg MD.
