

Albert was born in Candler County, lived and worked in Savannah until December 2008, at which time, due to health reasons, moved to North Carolina to be with his son Gerald Murray. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church for 60 years, and later became a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, his wife Loretta Still Murray, a son Don R. Murray and late wife Marie Lewis Murray.
Survivors include son, Gerald B. Murray (Merrilyn) of Black Mountain, NC, sister, Betty Knott Lee (Bobby) of Guyton, GA., five grandchildren, Don R. Murray Jr. (Amy) of Glennville, GA., Stephen A. Murray of Eden, GA., Melinda Murray Haulbrook (Monny) of Acworth, GA., Andrea Murray Brown (Elton) of Bloomingdale, GA., and Mark A. Murray of Richmond Hill, GA., ten great-grandchildren and ten great, great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 22, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory, 2794 US Hwy 80 W, Savannah, GA. Funeral service will be Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Fairhaven Funeral Home, burial in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
