

Born February 28, 1920 to the late Nelson King and Minnie King he was born and raised in Savannah. At an early age he baptized in the Catholic faith. Issac was educated in the Savannah School system before relocating to New York where he worked until retirement. Isaac was a Merchant Marine, a Coast Guard Veteran, a Citigroup Retiree, a member of the Seafarer’s International Union, and the VFW Post 660 of Savannah, GA. While employed he travel the world and visited numerous places such as the Vatican in Rome, Italy, West Indies just to name a few places. When Isaac retired from employment he relocated back to his home of Savannah, Ga.
Isaac was preceded in death by his siblings: Nelson King, John King, and Mammie Singleton. He was an avid reader, could tell one a new life story every time he sat down with you, and he wrote poetry and songs.
He will be survived by 3 nieces Betty Leonerd of Maryland, Doris Robinson of PA, Debbie King, NY, several great nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family. He will especially be missed by his Great-Niece Teneka Gerido of Rincon, Ga.
