

James Aubrey Lowe, SR., 86, of The Villages, FL, formally of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at Arbor Village Nursing Home in Wildwood, FL. Jim was born in White Oak, GA and was a graduate of Savannah High School. He worked for 18 years at Derst Bakery and retired in 1990 from Morrison\PYA. In 2007, he and his wife relocated to The Villages, FL. Jim was a member of Bull Street Baptist Church in Savannah, a member of the Georgia Club at The Villages, a former member of the Holiday Rambler, and was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maudie Fortner Lowe, of The Villages, FL; a son, Aubrey Lowe, JR. (Pam) of Greenville, SC; a daughter, Nancy L. Robinson, (John), of The Villages, FL.; two brothers, R.L. Lowe (Laura) of Savannah, Ga., Manning Lowe, of Deerfield, IL.; one sister, Laura Jean Cleveland (Pete), of SelbyvilleIsland, DE; five grandchildren,Neil Bailey, Natalie Bailey, Nissa Dyer, Tiffany Lowe Gilbert, and Amanda Lowe Ard, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial Contributions: Cornerstone Hospice,The Villages, FL 32162. Visitation: 5 - 7 p.m.Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory, 2794 W. Highway 80, Garden City, GA. Funeral Service: 11:00a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the family lot at Bonaventure Cemetery. Rev. Ed Robbins and Richard Stasney will officiate.
