Jennifer Leigh Nichols

Jennifer Leigh Nichols - RINCON - Jennifer Leigh Nichols, 40, of Rincon, Ga., died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Effingham County Hospital. She was born in Savannah, Ga., and was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Sterling Nichols, and her grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Sterling. Jennifer was a 1992 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School, and worked as a packer for the Coastal Center for Developmental Services, and then as a Greeter for Wal-Mart. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield, Ga., and a former member of the Derenne Avenue Church of God. Jennifer was involved with Special Olympics in her earlier years. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Stephanie N. Johnson of Rincon, Ga., her brother-in-law, William E. Johnson, Jr., of Rincon, Ga., and two nieces Abigail Johnson and Caroline Johnson, both of Rincon, Ga; Aunt, Mrs. Shelba Gerrald of Guyton, Ga; Uncle, Ronnie Sterling of North Augusta, SC; and several Cousins including, Kimberly Grissom of Guyton, Fred Gerrald, of Savannah, Ga and Kenneth Gerrald of Franklin, NC. Special thanks to her physicians, Effingham County Extended Care Facility and numerous Care Givers. Visitation: 10 - 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Springfield, Ga. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Springfield, Ga., with Rev. Jeff Rollins and Rev. Wayne Merritt, officiating.
