

She was born in Clearwater, Florida, and moved to Savannah with her parents, when she was nine years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winton Inman Cook, an infant son Henry A. Cook, parents, John Henry Walker and Mattie Strickland Walker, stepbrother, Eugene Walker, and stepsister, Dorothy Walker.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Trinity Bible Sunday School Class, and the WMU.
She had formerly worked at Levy’s of Savannah, and Linen Fair, prior to going to work with K Mart, from which she retired. She then worked part time with Hertz Rent a Car.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Cook Redding (Robert); and 2 sons, Richard Cook, and Bruce Cook (Sheila), 8 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory in Garden City, Ga.
Funeral Services: 12 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory, with her grandson, Rev. Matthew Cook officiating.
Interment at 1:30 p.m. in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, with her pastor, Rev. Enoch Hendry officiating.
