Mrs. Collins was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth and attended Life Spring Worship Center. She enjoyed working with ceramics, playing bingo, fishing, and loving on her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawson Benjamin & Wilma Lee Mixon, and brother, Gary Lawson Mixon.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Phillip W. Collins, Sr.; son, Phillip W. “Bubba” Collins, Jr. (Michelle); daughter, Jeanie Collins Hansson; brother, Richard Mixon (Janell); sister, Darlene Clark (Barry); grandchildren, Gabrielle & Samantha Hansson and David Avery Collins.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home, Garden City, GA.
Graveside Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hillcrest West Cemetery with her cousin Rev. Diane C. Parker officiating.
