Ronald V. "Ronnie" Griffin

Ronnie was born in Charleston, SC. to Carl V. and Sarah E. Maddox Griffin. He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon, and loved to Hunt. Ronnie worked as a diesel mechanic for many years at Schwerman Trucking Company before he went to work with Gulfstream were he retired after 15 years of service.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his wife of 41 years, Angie Jones Griffin; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Stephen “Moon” Roberts, Jr; grandsons, Carson and Chandler Roberts; his mother, Sarah Maddox Griffin; 2 sisters, Mary Griffin Thomasson and Ginger Griffin Saunders; his faithful companions, Daisy, Gizzy, Lizzy and Rosie; several nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Fairhaven Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Rincon with Dr. Bill Gammon officiating.

Burial: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
