Cristie Lyn Ball

Cristie Lyn Ball, age 60, of Lake Forest, California passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Cristie was born along with her twin sister Carrin on February 10, 1962 in Garden Grove, California to Carolyn "Jill" Menzimer and Bill Calliham. Cristie spent her childhood and early adult years in Garden Grove, graduating from Rancho Alamitos High School. After graduation, Cristie worked for Balboa Instruments where she served as an Inside Sales representative and Customer Service specialist for 18-years.

In 1992, Cristie's twin sister Carrin introduced her to Malcolm, a mutual friend who had settled in Southern California from England. The two were instantly smitten and in 1994 Malcolm and Cristie were married. They welcomed their son Aaron in 1995.

Cristie had a knack for crafting and painting and would often paint Malcolm's wood creations. She also enjoyed creating jewelry. Cristie was always there to cheer Aaron on in his athletic endeavors and in life. He remains the joy of her life. Cristie always had a love of animals especially her two dogs Georgia, Molly and her cat, Lulu. She always looked forward to trips to England to visit Malcolm's family. She loved all of her family both here and abroad deeply.

If Cristie could be described in a few words it would be "a ray of sunshine". Cristie was the light of everyone's life. She could light up a room with her smile and she was always smiling, no matter what. She always saw the good in people and was patient and kind to everyone. Her husband shares their running joke was that her patience was one-of-a-kind because she could put up with him!

Cristie is survived by her husband of 28-years, Malcolm Ball; her son Aaron Ball; her mother Jill Hayslett; her sister Carrin (John) Vallely; nieces Megan and Camryn Vallely; and her extended family in England: mother-in-law Annie Ball; sister-in-laws Susan Pearce and Janet Dickens; and her nieces and nephews: Gary, Sarah, Linsey, Andrew, and Alison. She also leaves behind so many special and amazing friends here and in the UK. She is preceded in death by her father Bill Calliham and step-mother Glee Calliham

Cristie will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her maternal Grandparents at Magnolia Memorial Park in Garden Grove, California.
