Jean Montgomery

Jean Elaine Montgomery reached the end of her wonderful life on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the age of 96. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

Jean was born to Celles and Irene Houser on December 24, 1925, in Comanche Co, Oklahoma.

Jean was married to Lewis Montgomery in 1946. About 20 years later they relocated to Southern California. In 1975 they purchased and resided in a home in Santa Ana, CA where Jean still lived to this day.

Jean and Lewis traveled often and Jean would always purchase post cards of places they visited where she would write small descriptions of what they did in that city/town. Most of these the family still has in their possession today.

She was Mother to 3 children: Shirley, Ronald and Randy.

She loved working at Mater Dei High School where she had worked in food services for over 20 years.

Jean is survived by 2 of her children, Shirley and Randy, her brother, Bob & MANY grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, her son, Ronald, and her brother Jim.

Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed by all that knew her.

A short graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday May 3rd, 2022 at the Riverside National Cemetery, followed by a reception in Yorba Linda.
