

Joan Davies Madrigal was 83 years old and passed away while residing at Manor Care in Fountain Valley, CA. Joan entered life on December 4, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Clem and Agnes Davies. She entered eternal life on July, 31, 2013 surrounded by her children’s love.
Mom dedicated her life to raising her family, embracing her Catholic faith, and serving the poor through many activities, including St. Vincent de Paul, church homeless programs, Bible Study and more. Joan was a member of St Columban Catholic Church in Garden Grove, CA.
She is survived by nine of her ten children: Rick (Nancy) Weiss; (Punnee) Weiss; Suzanne (Jerry) Maloney; Kathy (Paul) Collens; Maribeth (Fred) Fox; Maureen (Wayne) Lipari; Ann (Waylon) King; Greg (Julie) Madrigal; Janet (Matt) Bryan; and Patti (Jeff) Weber. There are many grandchildren and great grandchildren living near and far. She is also survived by her sister Mary Agnes Eppstein and brother Jack (JoAn) Davies.
Mom was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Weiss (1964) and Luis Madrigal (2001) and second son, Chris Weiss (2012.) She is looking forward to dancing with Jesus in heaven.
There will be a viewing for Joan Madrigal at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary on Tuesday, Aug 6th between 4 to 7 pm followed by a Rosary. Mass will be offered at St. Columban Catholic Church, Garden Grove, CA on Wed, Aug 7th at 10 am, followed by internment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, CA.
