Joseph G. Nesbitt of Garden Grove went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 11, 2011. Joe was 76 years old and born on April 2, 1934 in Upshur County, West Virginia to Richard and Jennie Nesbitt.
Joe loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his wife Charlotte of 54 years, children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends. He loved his country and was politically active and a NRA supporter. Joe was a friend to everyone and was always there to offer support, encouragement and help. Through email Joe kept us all abreast of prayer requests and political issues. He worked at Boeing for 35 years, but he is the original “Mr. Fixit” and helped many people with car and appliance repairs. We have lost a great man, husband, father, and friend. We will always love him and remember his words of encouragement, support and wisdom and his unconditional love and friendship. He was a wonderful example of a husband, father, and friend.
Joe is survived by his loving devoted wife Charlotte and their three children Tammy LeFlohic and husband Lucien, Tom Nesbitt and wife Cindy and Teena Pojar and husband Mike. Joe was proud of his five grandchildren; Ryan Hubbell, Shane Shellenbarger, Mitchell Nesbitt, Chad Pojar and Molly Pojar. And Joe was very close to his three surviving siblings; Jack Nesbitt and wife Gwen, Maryann Tricase and Charlotte Rae Schweitzer and husband Ron.
“For we know that when this tent we live in now is taken down – when we die and leave these bodies – we will have wonderful new bodies in heaven, homes that will be ours forevermore, made for us by God himself, and not by human hands.”
2 Corinthians 5:1 (TLB)
“Serve God with all your might while the candle is burning, and then when it goes out for a season, you will have the less to regret. Be content to be nothing, for that is what you are. When your own emptiness is painfully forced upon your consciousness, chide yourself that you ever dreamed of being full, except in the Lord.”
C.H. Spurgeon
