To know her was to know strength, joy, and an unstoppable spirit. Rosalia lived her life fully—on her own terms—with grit, heart, and a deep love for her family and the simple pleasures of each day.
Rosalia’s perfect day was simple and beautiful: outside under the sun, surrounded by her family, and eating good food, she loved to sip on her strawberry hill wine. Nature was her peace and she found joy in tending to her plants and many animals, going fishing, and soaking up the calm that came with being outdoors. Whether she was casting a line or caring for her garden, Rosalia did it with purpose and heart.
A true go-getter, Rosalia lived every day with intention. She was up by 5 a.m., ready to take on the day with unmatched energy. She took pride in being clean, organized, and productive. Qualities she passed down to her children, along with her strongest lesson: never make excuses, and never settle. She taught by example, proving that hard work and persistence could overcome anything.
Rosalia loved being around family, especially her grandkids, who made her laugh the most when they danced, sang, or teamed up with her son-in-law for jokes. Rosalia’s home was always full of good food, good music, and people who felt safe and loved. Her birria chilaquiles were amazing, but it wasn’t just the food that filled you, it was the love behind it. Her house always felt like home.
She was an exceptional nurse assistant, with a gift for bringing people to life and showing the best of them. Rosalia’s care was powerful, her presence comforting, and her sense of humor refreshing. She had a blunt honesty and a sense of humor that made you love her even more.
Rosalia enjoyed life to the fullest. From dancing to cumbias and oldies, singing along with Creedence Clearwater Revival, or going to the casino, Rosalia knew how to enjoy the moment. Her favorite color was black—because as she’d always say, “It makes you look slim!”
She was incredibly strong, with a pain tolerance that amazed everyone around her. Life wasn't always easy, she faced more than her fair share of challenges, but no matter how many times she got knocked down, she always got back up.
Rosalia leaves behind a family who will forever be inspired by her strength, warmed by her love, and guided by the many lessons she lived and shared. She was a mother, grandmother, caretaker, friend, and the heart of every room she entered.
