Roy Wayne Salamun

Roy was born in Chicago, Illinois, and spent his life as a hardworking, loving, and dedicated provider. He graduated from Prescott High School and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964. Following his service, Roy worked in various fields, but his longest career was as a Security Guard for 20th Century Fox, where he worked for over 20 years. Roy went on to run his own business, Dependable Home Inspections, showcasing his lifelong love for fixing and building things.

Roy married his loving wife, Pamela, on May 15, 1965. Together, they raised five daughters and shared their lives with seven beloved dogs. Roy was the ultimate family man, always putting his loved ones first. His dedication as a provider and protector of his family will be remembered forever. His hard work, tenacity, and sense of humor brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He was a master of all trades, always completing any task he took on to perfection.

Roy’s favorite pastimes included playing pool, bowling, fishing, and using his hands to build and fix anything in need of repair. He was known for his great sense of humor; Roy was always making jokes or doing something silly to have those around him smiling.

Roy is survived by his daughters, Penny Salamun, Peggy Breeland, Renee Mosely, Jenine Sanchez, and Angela Salamun; grandchildren, Amber Rivera, Samantha Mosely, Jacob Mosely, Abigail Mosely, and Kara Mosely; and great-grandchild, Aurora Moon Rivera. He is also survived by his brother Carl Salamun and his sister Kathy Soulages.

He is preceded by his wife Pamela Salamun; father, Carl Salamun Sr., and his mother, Anna Salamun.

A celebration of life for Roy will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840.

A graveside service with Military honors will occur Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518.

A funeral procession, with a motor escort, will be held from Dimond & Shannon Mortuary to Riverside National Cemetery.
