Taylor LaNae was born July 6, 1999, in Riverside, CA, to Mia Cota and Ronnie Jackson. Taylor graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School, Class of 2017, and attended California State University, Sacramento where she was active in Greek Life. After some time in Sacramento, Taylor moved back to Riverside to pursue her passion of singing and songwriting.
Anyone who knew Taylor knew that she was assertive and driven to achieve her goals. She had an enviable and fierce love for life, a hard-working mentality and lived each day to the fullest. Taylor blossomed in her adult life, making new friends, and finding a new excitement in the restaurant business as a bartender and waitress even having her own tooth-gem business as some of you may still have that sparkle in your smile.
Taylor's smile could light up any room; she exuded a light that drew everyone to her. Taylor's compassion for people was immense, the love that she showered on her friends was second only to the love she showered on her family. The service industry was second nature to Taylor, as she was passionate about helping and talking with anyone she met.
Following in her mother and father’s footsteps, Taylor began a promising recording career and recently released several singles. Although stunning, her physical beauty paled in comparison to the beauty of her soul. Taylor continuously inspired those who knew her to be the best version of themselves and used her tenacity to help them reach their own goals. For her family, Taylor was like the sun, bright and beautiful, warm and comforting. Her family will always enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset and they will find peace and comfort in knowing that their Taylor is smiling down on them.
Taylor is survived by her mother and step-father, Mia and Javier Cota; her father and step-mother, Ronnie and Mujah Jackson; her siblings, Judith, Julianna, Laila, Ilyas Ozan, Brayden, Brody and soon to be Baby Jackson; her maternal grandparents, Judi Garcia and George Castro; and paternal grandparents Diane Scott and Butch Jackson. She also leaves behind many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her Grandma Verdia, Nina Gina; her aunt Sommer.
A visitation for Taylor will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840.
