Victoria Vasquez passed away peacefully in her home in Garden Grove on April 29, 2023. She was born in Bakersfield, California on December 29, 1925 to Louisa and Felix Ledesma. Victoria was raised in Mexico from a young age, and then later came back to the United States as a young adult. She married Arthur Vasquez in 1954. After starting a family, being a housewife was her greatest lifework. Victoria and Arthur had three children: Aileen, Charlie, and Sandy.
Victoria is fondly remembered for loving and caring for her family. She was always greatly concerned for her loved ones until the very end of her life. When her children were young, she enjoyed cooking for them, sewing costumes, and providing fond memories with friends and family. Victoria, aka “Tola”, loved to get together with her sister Lupe at family gatherings and “gossip” about everyone that was in attendance. Victoria was very spiritual and had great faith in God and in the Catholic church. Each night was spent praying for her loved ones; those living and those who have departed. One of her favorite things to do in her later years was watch family and friends enjoy the pool in her backyard. She will be missed every day, but even more so on hot, summer days.
Victoria is survived by her daughter Sandy and son in law Dave, daughter Aileen and Son Charlie and granddaughter Zowie.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Arthur Vasquez. Her son in law Paul, her parents, Louisa and Felix Ledesma, siblings, Maria, Jose, Jesus, Maria de la Luz, Esperanza, Elena, Adalberto, Carmen, Asuncion (Lupe).
