Franklin Barton Barker

Franklin Barton Barker, age 85 of Gasport, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Medina Memorial Hospital. Born in Lockport on September 5, 1930, Frank is the son of Frank and Dora (Rose) Barker.

He worked for many years at the Ford Dealership, FMC and Roy Hart Schools. He married Dawn Hageman on June 19, 1954 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gasport and was Fire Chief in Middleport from 1964 until 1969. Frank was always ready to help a friend. He enjoyed woodworking, camping in the Adirondacks and fishing.

Surviving is his wife: Dawn (Hageman) Barker and 6 children: Douglas (Lori) Barker of Salisbury, NC, Debbie Barker, Kathy Barker, Kevin (Cynthia) Barker, Donnie Barker (Tammy) and Jeffrey Barker all of Gasport. Also surviving Frank are 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters: Audrey Woodburn and Edith Clark.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Avenue, Gasport, NY on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10 am until 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 11:00 am from the church with the Reverend Rod Klinzing officiating. Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery, Gasport, NY.
