Betty Jean Gittens Price

Betty Jean Gittens Price, age 80, of Mt. Holly, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Woodlawn Haven, Mt. Holly. Mrs. Price was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Pennell Gittens.

Mrs. Price was a member of Revival Tabernacle, Stanley.

Mrs. Price is survived by two sons, Ronnie Elkins and wife Susan of Charlotte, Gary Elkin and wife Liz of Gastonia; one brother, Rev. Robert Gittens and wife Ruby of Stanley; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday in the Garden of Four Seasons Section of Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia with the Rev. Robert Gittens officiating. The family will receive friends at the gravesite after the committal service.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woodrow Price; two sisters, two brothers.
