Billy Corbert Elliott, 73 of Mount Holly, North Carolina. He was born on April 6,1952 to the late Corbert and Minnie Elliott.Billy lived a long and joyful life. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Sunday April 20,2025. He was tired from the battle of health problems and was ready to go be with loved ones that passed before him. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He loved all his family. Billy worked at Pharr Yarns up until retirement. Then spent time gardening and yard work,where he loved having family around. He loved shopping at thrift stores and dreamt of opening his own one day. Billy is preceded in death by his parents Corbert and Minnie (McLamb) Elliott. His son Billy S. Elliott. Five brothers Teddy Hinson, Timothy Elliott,Leonard Elliott, Colin “Bunk” Elliott and Samuel “Sam” Elliott. Billy leaves behind a loving wife of 54 years Molly Cleo (Martin) Elliott, a daughter Tammy and Earl Asbury. Three granddaughters Amanda, Erica and Courtney. Seven great-grandchildren Keleb, Brantley, Charles, Billy, Nevaeh, Aburee, and Wyatt. A sister Sue and Mickey Pearson, along with lots of nieces, nephews and cousins. Billy was a hard working man who loved his life and family, was always a joy to be around. He could light up the room. He would do anything for his family, with a smile on his face. He’d welcome you into his home with a "come back to see me, and you don’t have to leave so soon". You never left without hearing, "I love you" from him, he made sure you knew he loved you. A service to celebrate Billy's life will be held Monday, April 28th. 2025 at 2:00 o'clock P.M. in the Cardinal Hall Chapel at Carothers's Funeral Home, located at 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, N.C. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
