

A native of Gaston County, he was the son of Helen Ruth Holland Honeycutt and the late Floyd Reed Honeycutt Jr.
David was a beloved son to both of his parents. He saw after all the details on the home and their well-being on a daily basis. He was a wonderful lover of animals, especially Tarzan, his cockatoo. He will be remembered for his loving heart and kind manner that only his closest friends knew. The two loves of his life were his mother and Kaye.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Ruth Holland Honeycutt; soul mate of 29 years, Kaye Moore; brothers, Jimmy Honeycutt and Elaine, Dennis Honeycutt and Kathy, Steve Honeycutt and Bobbie; sisters, Jane Karriker and Jim, Mary Ellington and Steve.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Reed Honeycutt Jr; and sister, Sue Carol Honeycutt.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
