Drew Jack Cothran

Drew Jack Cothran, 81, of Stanley, NC passed away on December 18, 2023. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a hardworking man for many years. He loved to watch the news and Young Sheldon. He loved his wife unconditionally and more than word can explain. He loved his three daughters.

Drew was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Sisk Cothran, his father and mother, John and Gertie Cothran, his sister, Yvonne Holland, and great-great grandchildren, twins Asher and Elijah Kelly and Christopher Ray Timberlake Kelly.

Loved ones left behind to cherish Drew’s memories and to carry on his legacy are brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Debbie Cothran, daughters Teresa and Eric Giblin of Murfreesboro, TN, Shannon and Tony Van Dyke of Stanley, NC, Melissa Cothran of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Jacquine and Tim Lange of Hendersonville, TN, Chris Timberlake of Murfreesboro, TN, Charlotte Van Dyke of Stanley, NC, Tyler Ledford of Gastonia, NC; and Selena Ledford of Gastonia, NC and four great-grandchildren Alaska Timberlake of Muscle Shoals, AL, Bishop Siders of Gallatin, TN, Julian Siders of Henderson, TN and Nolen Siders of Hendersonville, TN.

A service celebrating Drew’s life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday December 23, 2023 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. Burial will immediately follow the service in The Garden of Honor, at Gaston Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by The United States Navy and The Gaston County Honor Guard. His pallbearers are Tyler Ledford, Bishop Siders, Julian Siders, Nolan Siders, Christopher Timberlake and Tony Van Dyke.
