Garry "Steve" Stevens Howell

Steve attended Belmont Textile College, where he earned a degree in Electrical and Electronics. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Known for his curiosity and hands-on nature, he enjoyed tinkering with anything electrical.

In addition to his electrical skills, he was also a licensed plumber.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Barbara Howell and sister, Barbara J. Howell.

He is survived by his brothers, Scottie Howell and wife Christine, Hugh Howell and late wife Sandy, Mike Howell and wife Gayle; nieces and nephews, Beth Howell, Janet McKinney, Dana Stamey, Cheryl Howell, Jason Howell, Richard Lingerfelt, Angie Karapanos, David Lingerfelt, Wendy Howell, Trina Howell, and Kandi Howell.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions to made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
