Gladys Marie Alexander Pike

Gladys Marie Alexander Pike, age 79, of Gastonia, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at her home. She was born in Canton, N. C. and was the daughter of the late Richard Sylvester and Cora Jane Tankersley Alexander.

Mrs. Pike was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Union Road Baptist Church. She retired from Play House Day Care.

Mrs. Pike is survived by two sons: Kevin Pike and wife Robin, Keith Pike both of the home; one sister: Wanda Glenn of Gastonia; four grandchildren: Evan Pike and wife Maggie, Jordyn Pike, Adam Pike, Kaleb Pike; one great grandson: Keegan Pike.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 P. M. to 1:30 P. M. Tuesday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P. M. Tuesday in the Garden of Honor Section of Gaston Memorial Park with Pastor Jack A. Gouge officiating.

Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Joseph Andrew Pike; eight brothers and sisters.
