Jana was born on April 14,1962 in Petersburg, VA to Elizabeth Jane Crump and the late Frederick Ted Crump.
In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Kenan Carringer.
Jana was the proprietor of Jana’s Sign Shop for 32 years. She practiced her craft with meticulous creativity as she did with everything in her life.
Jana had a zest for life and wanted to extract all that she could from it. She loved sharing about all of the wonderful places and things that she encountered in her many travels. Some of her many travels included going to Israel, the Continent of Africa, Las Vegas, Wyoming, and many, many points in between.
In addition to her many travels, you could also find Jana enjoying herself in the kitchen making exceptional dishes for her family. She also loved spending her free time riding her Harley around town. Jana had an extreme love for her dogs as they brought her much joy in her life. Jana also was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Gaffney, South Carolina.
The life of our precious Jana was shorter than we would have liked, but she did not get cheated out of any of life’s adventures. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, amazing sister, and an outstanding friend.
A visitation for Jana will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 PM.
