Jonathan was a graduate of First Assembly Christian Academy, Gaston College and Southeastern University, Lakeland, Fla. where he graduated in 2005 cum laude with a B.S. in Psychology and in 2006 with a Master of Business Administration.
He resided in St. Petersburg, Fla. where he was a sales leader for Holiday Senior Living.
Jonathan is survived by his fiancé, Lindsay Kohn, of St. Petersburg, Fla., his mother, Charlotte Hoyle Melton, of Cramerton, his father and other mother, David and Mary Bentley, of Kings Mountain, sister, Ashley Bentley and her fiancé, Daniel Condron, niece and nephew, Tristan and Sophie, and grandparents, Walter and Frances Bentley.
Life Celebration Services will be held Sunday, October 25, at Bethlehem Baptist Church on South New Hope Road, Gastonia at 3:00 p.m.
