

Jordyn Serenity (Jada), a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, and United States Navy Sailor, was born on November 19, 2005, to Jennifer Williams. From thevery beginning, Jordyn brought light, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew her. She later formed an unbreakable and unconditional bond with her
stepfather, Jamie Hester, who proudly became her dad in every way that mattered by choice through Jordyn.
Jordyn was driven, determined, and full of purpose, and surprises. She graduated early from Ashbrook High School in December 2023, a testament to her ambition and focus. Shortly thereafter, she answered the call to serve her country, enlisting in the United States Navy and becoming a Sailor on April 5, 2024. Though her time in
service was brief, her impact was lasting. Jordyn carried herself with pride, strength, and compassion, leaving a meaningful impression on her fellow service members and all those she encountered.
Known for her infectious laughter, warm spirit, and playful nature Jordyn had a remarkable gift for bringing out the best in others. She had a natural heart for helping people and a way of making friends feel like family. Her presence filled rooms with joy, and her kindness left lasting memories in the hearts of many.
Jordyn leaves behind her loving mother, Jennifer Williams; her honorary father, Jamie Hester; her sisters, Morgan and Peyton; and her cherished and only brother, Ryder. She is also survived by her aunt Ayana; her uncle Qu’ran; her grandmother Dawn; her grandfather Hurricane (Pop Pop); her cousin Saniya; and a host of extended family members, friends, cousins, sisters, God parents and her military family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
In her short yet powerful life, Jordyn accomplished what truly matters most being an extraordinary daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, and service member. Her legacy of love, laughter, service, and compassion will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
A visitation will be held on January 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, located at 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC, 28054, US.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue, beginning at 11:00 am.
