Lisa Burgess Wood

Lisa Burgess Wood, 57, died peacefully in Charlotte after a brief illness. Lisa worked at Parkdale Mills in Belmont. She was generous and kind woman who would do anything for anybody. She loved children and her family was the light of her life. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Lisa is the daughter of the late Bertha (Offenburger) Burgess and Clyde Eugene Burgess. Lisa was born in New Jersey, but South Carolina was her home.

Left to cherish their memories of Lisa and to carry on her legacy are her husband of 37 years, Ronald Wood, her daughter Melissa (Wood) Breedlove and her husband Kristopher and her grandson Ronald Breedlove.

The family will receive friends form 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday August 20, 2021 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday August 21, 2021 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will share fond memories of Lisa during the celebration of life service. Quentin Carswell, Nicholas Duncan, Brandon Barrett, Cameron Woody, Tristen Santelli and Bradley Wood will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow the celebration of life service at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
