Nell Beatty Patterson

Nell Beatty Patterson, 92, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at Carillon Assistant Living, Lincolnton with her loving family by her side. She was born in Georgia and was the daughter of the late Claude and Estelle Hulcey Beatty.

Mrs. Patterson retired from the Mayflower Plant of Burlington Industries, Cramerton.

Mrs. Patterson is survived by one daughter, Donna Lutz and husband Gary of Gastonia; three grandchildren, Keith Lutz and wife Shannon of Eagle, Michigan, Krystal Lutz of Raleigh, Peter Lutz and wife Alicia of Dallas; two great grandchildren, Branden and Kennadie; two brothers, Jack Beatty and wife JoNell of Gastonia, Troy Beatty and wife Pauline of Charleston, South Carolina; two sisters, Betty Forrester and husband John of Stanley, Geneva Donald and husband Weldon of Seneca, South Carolina.

A private graveside service for the family will be Sunday at Gaston Memorial Park with a Celebration of Life Service to be 3:00 P. M. Sunday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia with Rev. Clyde Penry officiating.

The family will receive friends at Carothers Funeral Home after the Celebration of Life Service.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Ralph Jackson Patterson; four sisters, Joyce Simmons, Louise McCurley, Irene Brown, Emma Beatty; three brothers, R. D. Beatty, Marvin Beatty, Claude Emory Beatty.
