Patricia (Lee) Carpenter, 73, passed away peacefully Tuesday - December 11, 2018 at Atrium Hospital – Mercy in Charlotte. Patricia was surrounded by her family. Patricia will always be remembered for her smile. Her smile was contagious and brightened the mood wherever she went. Patricia loved to travel. She was a member at Stowe Memorial Baptist Church in Belmont.
Patricia was focused on her family. She loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could often be found at the park with them. Patricia will be dearly missed by her family and by all those that knew and loved her.
Patricia was born in Gastonia and lived here her whole life. She is the daughter of the late Nellie Bernice (Lowder) and William Harley Lee. One brother, Ricky Lee, preceded her in death.
Left behind to with cherished memories and charged with carrying on Patricia’s legacy are her husband of 29 years – Ronald Carpenter and her children: Debbie Helton and husband Chris, Jerry Guest, Robin Withers, Keith Carpenter and LaDonna Burford and husband Jesse. Missing their grandmother are grandchildren: James Lee, Johnathan, Jessica, Lee, Kimberly, Khristopher and Kaci. Patricia’s great-grandchildren are Elyssa, Aiden, Isabella, Ahnika, and Emmitt. Her brother Bill Lee also survives her.
A Celebration of Patricia’s Life will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday December 15, 2018 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends at this time and gather to reminisce about Patricia.
