Patricia "Bea" Ann (Samples) Towery

She was born on June 4, 1944, in Newport, Tennessee to Matilda Jane Pate and Joseph Edward Samples.

She attended Ranlo Baptist Church and loved her Lord dearly. She loved family gatherings and would tell us we were her greatest accomplishment in life. She was lovingly called “Granny Bea” by her grandchildren and Aunt Bea by her nieces and nephews. She loved her weekly breakfast and dinner outings with her senior friends, she also liked to read and go thrifting in the stores. She was forever on the hunt for a great deal. She was fiercely independent and remained steadfastly so until the end.

She was preceded in death by her son, David William Wiggins Jr.; her sister, Nadine Alexander; and her brother, Johnny Samples. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Gibson and husband Mike; son, Joseph Lee Wiggins and wife, Shelley; grandchildren, Tracy Davis (Shawn), Jeremy Branham (Lacey), Tyler Gibson (Katelyn), Jessica Smith and Hannah Wiggins; great-grandchildren, Seth Davis (Abbey), Kelsey Davis, Jaron Davis, Zander Davis, Caragan Davis, Carsyn Gibson, Braylee Branham and Weston Gibson; great-great grandchildren, Zoey David and Owen Davis. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Hensley (James); numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and her fur babies and companions, Maggie and Rascal.

We will Cherish her sweet memories always and forever.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM-1:45 PM at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Dr., Gastonia, NC 28054. A Celebration of Life will follow in the funeral home’s chapel at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor James Land.
