Born in Lincoln County she was the daughter of the late Arthur Grayson and Evelener Hastings McNelly. Pauline was a member of (churches, organizations, or wish to list).She worked many years in the textile industry until her retirement. She was married to Charles E. Teague. She loved dancing and was also a member of South River Baptist Church.
Polly is survived by her son, Monty Teague and his wife Melody as well as her other son, Sandy Teague.
Surviving sisters are Ethel Downs and Carolyn McEntire. Her surviving grandchildren are Curt Teague, Lauren Crane, Brandon Teague, and Shana Etherton. Polly’s surviving great grandchildren are Hank Teague, Maple Teague, Ryland Etherton, Hunter Etherton, Lucien Perez and Morgan Crane. She is also survived by her special niece, Ginger Carter.
She is preceded in death by Annie Mae, Imagean, Marie, Sally, Helen and brothers Reton, Howard and Bud. Polly had many neices & nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Polly will be held at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 17th, 2026.
