Pearl Hunt

She was born in Union, SC on July 23, 1927 to the late Lee and Clara Smith.

Mrs. Hunt was a longtime member of Lakeview Baptist Church in McAdenville.

She is survived by her sons, James Hunt Jr. and wife Regina of Iron Station, Jimmy Lee Hunt and wife Louise of Gastonia, Steve Hunt of Gastonia; daughters, Rosemary Norris and husband Johnny of Gastonia, Cynthia Hord and husband James of Manchester, Tennessee, Patty Hawkins and companion Lee Burgin of Gastonia; sisters, Louise Guyton, Dora Scoggins, Shirley Vanderford; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 8 step- great grandchildren and 1 step-great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hubert Hunt; grandson, Danny Thornburg Jr.; and sister, Maude Black.

A funeral service will be held at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Baptist Church in McAdenville with Rev. Buck Harper and Rev. James Hord officiating.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.
