Rena M. Archilla passed away peacefully, surrounded by her 3 loving children on Saturday, April 19th, 2025.
Born in Muhlhausen, Germany she immigrated with her family after World War 2 making their home in NC where she has remained throughout the majority of her life. During her early years in America she embraced the culture, learning to speak English by immersing herself in public school, American television and music and by making many friends that remained in her life until the end.
While she had many jobs throughout her life the one that she cherished above all was that of being a Mother and Grammy. Ever the hostess, she loved gatherings of family and friends and always remembered the little things to make each of us feel special. She was the best at never forgetting birthdays, anniversaries and special events and always made sure to send a card or gift filled with love.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her Loving brother, Klaus “Butch” Bailey and by her Beloved first grandson, Dustin Michael Fite.
She is survived by her children, Terri (Michael) Fite, Greg (Lisa Park) Archilla, Robin (Kevin) Isenhour and former husband, Rogelio Archilla. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brianna (Joel) Okaah, Breeze Briley, Annica (DJ) Johnson, Ethan (Madison) Briley, Dillon Fite, JB Isenhour and step-grandson Andrew (Mary Clare) Park as well as 12 Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She loved to laugh, to listen to music, to dance and to smile. While she will be so very missed, she would want us all to Celebrate her and to be happy……just as we know she is Celebrating in Heaven.
The family plans to hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
