A loving husband, a loving and caring son who took care of his wife and mom…. A man who was dependable and helped others before they called upon him… This is how Roger Glen Howell will always be remembered. Roger was a huge Carolina Panther and North Carolina Tar Hill fan…

He was the son of the late Johnny Eugene Howell. He was preceded in death by his brother Randall Eugene Howell.

Those left behind to cherish Roger’s memory is his wife of 15 years Debbie Howell; mother : Mary Cox Howell; step daughter and her husband: Katricia and James Franklin Huitt II of Gastonia, North Carolina; stepson and his wife: Roger Dale and Crystal Smith of Gastonia, North Carolina; sister and brother in law: Phyllis and Lynn Hoosier of Charlotte, North Carolina; twin brother and sister in law: Russell and Tammy Howell of Walhalla, South Carolina; seven grandchildren: Makih, Timothy Dale, Brianna, James Franklin III, Loren Elizabeth, Victoria and Davis.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina with Reverend Danny Hoell to officiate. Active pallbearers are Randall Howell, Timothy Howell, Bobby Gray, Ron Gray, Darrel Hal and Roger Smith.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM prior to the service.
