Sue Craig Beach

Sue Craig Beach, 81, of Gastonia, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Caldwell County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Ivey W. and Beulah Braswell Craig.

Mrs. Beach retired from Beltex Corporation, Belmont. Following retirement she was a preschool teacher. Sue was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Gastonia, where she was the pianist for many years and also was the pianist for the “Grace Gospel Singers”. She was a woman of strong faith and her children were her life.

Mrs. Beach is survived by two daughters, Regina “Gina” Campbell and husband Tim, Sonya Dockery and husband Johnny of Gastonia; two sons, Ronald Beach, Cregg Beach of Gastonia; five grandchildren, Colin Beach, Tami Michelle Campbell, Joshua Beach, Cole Dockery, Trent Dockery; one great grandson, Connor Beach; nephew, Eddie Hall.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church, 2200 Auten Road, Gastonia.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Hensley officiating.

Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Whitnel Church Cemetery, 1201 Connelly Springs Road, Lenoir, N. C.

Mrs. Beach was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 37 years, Ira Earl Beach; brother, Ivey Gene Craig; sister, Betty Ervin Hall.
