Thelma Hardy

Thelma had a career in Textile for Firestone. She was a faithful member of Flint Groves Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. Thelma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In all her years on this earth, she would tell you, she treasured her family above all.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband of 65 years Roy Hardy; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ray Emory; sons, Calvin Hardy and Douglas Hardy; daughter Patricia Ann; son- in-law, Frank Collier; grandson, David McGill; granddaughter, Elaine Pagell; great granddaughter, Amber and great grandson, Matthew.

Thelma is survived by her daughter, Virginia Collier; son, Tim Hardy and wife Theda; grandchildren, Charlene Friday, Scott Emory, Houston Collier and wife Lori, Amy Sparrow and husband David, Adam Hardy and wife Cathy, Angela Vincent and husband Frank, Annette Hardy, Susan Hardy, Theresa Hardy, Kim Hardy, Lisa Hardy; 25 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; 3 great great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in The Cardinal Hall at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Hollywood Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Flint Groves Baptist Church, 2023 Flint Lane, Gastonia, NC 28054.
