Virginia Ann Daniel Harmon

Virginia Ann Daniel Harmon, 80, of Spruce Pine, NC , formerly of Charlotte, died on February 15, 2013. She was born in Creedmoor, NC, in Greenville County, August 23, 1932. Mrs. Harmon was the daughter of Callie Cletta Williams and Wayland Dodson Daniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Harmon, Jr of Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Harmon was a graduate of Watts School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Charlotte area until her retirement. Throughout her life she enjoyed reading, watching old movies and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Daniel Thomas Harmon (Elizabeth Dermid Harmon) of Mt. Juliet, TN and daughter Cynthia Lynn Harmon (John Boyce Childress) of Spear, NC; five grandchildren Joshua Taylor Childress (Natalie) of Wilmington, NC,; Rebecca Sue Childress of Banner Elk, NC; Joel Thomas Harmon and William Alexander Harmon of Mt. Juliet, TN and Anna Morning Sky Harmon of Spear, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 19th, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC. with Rev. Ron Watts officiating.
