Wendy Dawn Whitley was born on August 14, 1976, to Darrell and Paula Whitley in Gastonia, NC. In the early morning hours of April 7, 2026, she passed peacefully in her sleep and went to be with her Heavenly Father and her Savior, Jesus Christ. On the wings of angels, she was welcomed to heaven by her daddy and her big brother, Scotty. She was just as perfect on the day she left this world as she was on the day she was born into it. She is survived by her mother, Paula; three nieces and one nephew - Shelbi, Preston, Alexis, and Savannah; and her precious pomeranian, Boo. Wendy graduated from Webb Street School and spent her free time at the library, bowling, shopping, playing games, going to the movies, spending time with her fur baby, and checking on her family. She loved meeting new people, and everyone she met became her new best friend. Her smile was contagious and will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054, on April 11, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
