Woody was born on December 30, 1933 in Andrews, North Carolina to the late Homer Wooten and the late Saphrona Thomas.
Woody was an incredible salesman and a passionate fisherman. Known affectionately as "Birdman," he soared to great heights in his career, becoming the senior regional manager at Electrolux. His ability to connect with people and sell not just products, but a vision, was unparalleled. Off the clock, he found solace and joy in the tranquility of fishing, a pastime that reflected his patience and persistence.
A visitation for Woodrow will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Bethel Baptist Church, 6381 Lake Wylie Rd, Lake Wylie, SC 29710. A funeral service will take place at 11:30 AM in the Church Sanctuary. A committal service will follow all services at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Left to carry on his legacy is his wife, Rebecca Suzanne Wooten; daughter, Judy Burton; son, Woodrow Wooten Jr.; and their loving families.
