He was a member of Goshen Presbyterian Church. Zane was a loyal worker and. He worked at Wix where he retired with 35 years of service. He also served his country in the Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Annie Bell Richards; daughter, Sharon Denise Brewer; brothers, William “Bill” Richards, Baxter C. Richards, Joe H. Richards, and Fred “Doc” Richards; sisters, Ovalene Richards and Betty E. Richards.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Burch and her husband Bryan Holland; son, Darryl Eugene Richards; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. A committal service with Air Force military honors will immediately follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
