From a very young age, Agustín stood out for his gentle spirit and, most of all, his radiant smile. He was always a joyful young man, overflowing with love and kindness. Loving him was simply inevitable.
He had the blessing of graduating from Georgetown High School and fulfilling one of his dreams: playing football. Another of his great passions was Ballet Folklórico, where he became one of the best dancers. His charisma and his smile made every performance unforgettable.
From a young age, he also happily took on the role of uncle. His first niece, Priscilla, was his greatest joy. He cared for her with love, and later did the same with his other five nieces and nephews, whom he also loved deeply. He was fortunate to meet his youngest nephew, only six weeks old, who carries his name: Agustín. He was an exemplary uncle—loving, responsible, and always ready to help.
His favorite sports were football and soccer, but he also showed great interest in boxing, which he pursued with passion. He trained with discipline and even competed, achieving yet another one of his goals.
But perhaps one of his greatest passions was cooking. From a young age, he showed interest in becoming a chef. He studied at a culinary school in Austin, Texas, which allowed him to work in what he truly loved. He practiced his profession in several well-known companies such as Google, Dell, Southwestern University, among others.
At home, he never missed an opportunity to help in the kitchen—it was clear that he enjoyed it. At every family celebration, he was the one who cooked for everyone. We will all miss his food, but even more than that, we will miss him—his noble soul, his generosity, and the extraordinary human being he was.
Agustín left a deep mark on all of us who had the blessing of knowing him. His time in this world was brief, but his legacy of love, joy, and kindness will live on forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Agustín. We will always carry you with us.
