Ann Louise Barry

Ann Louise Weaver was born on May 12, 1932 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her parents were Louis and Beatrice Weaver. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Grinnell College and later furthered her education with a Masters degree in Education.

Ann met and married the love of her life, Paul Barry and they shared almost 60 years together. Ann and Paul moved to Dallas, Texas early in their marriage and raised their three children there. They were founding members of St. Rita Catholic Church.

Ann spent her career as a math teacher and worked for DISD for over twenty years. She loved her students and was pleased to hear from them over the years.

After retirement, Ann and Paul moved to Sun City, Georgetown, Texas and spent twelve wonderful years there. She loved her community and her dear neighborhood.

Ann was involved in the community and served on several boards in Sun City and Georgetown. She was an active member of the Georgetown Area Republican's Women's Club. She enjoyed the camaraderie of the club and looked forward to spending time with the group.

She was a devout Catholic and involved with Santa Rosa Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic minister and was involved in the ACTS retreat.

She was a world traveler, loved to read, and loved animals. She enjoyed her swimming class, her book club, and working on her computer.

But, most of all she loved her family.

She was the best wife, mom, grandmother, and friend and we miss her greatly.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Paul, son Mike and his wife Lisa, daughter Michelle, son Tom and his wife Ann, and two grandchildren Austin and Katy.

Visitation will take place at the Cook Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive in Georgetown, on Friday, March 6, 2015 between 5-6 pm and a Rosary will follow at 6pm.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday March 7, 2015 at 10am at the Santa Rosa Catholic Church, 6571 FM 970 Andice, Texas. Reception to follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the ASPCA or St. Vincent DePaul Society in care of Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Andice, Texas..
