Beverly Sue Murphy

Beverly Sue Murphy (aka Bartles and Gholson) went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2020. She was born to Milton and Vallie Murphy on January 13, 1940, both of whom preceded her in death, as did her brother “Junior.” Remaining to cherish her memory are her son Kevin Bartles and his wife Debbie, her son Darin Bartles and his wife Jenni, and her daughter Karen Murphy; Beverly’s granddaughter Lisa and her husband Chris, and her granddaughters Ember and Kalena; her sister Ann, her sister Twyla, and her sister Carolyn and her husband Rodger; plus numerous nephews and nieces.

Beverly was born to be a mama and a caregiver. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest was in school, at which time she went to work in the banking industry. She retired from Chase Bank in Austin, Texas where she worked in the Safekeeping Department.

Beverly loved the Lord, and her greatest desire was for her children and grandchildren to place their faith in Jesus as their Savior. Although Dementia slowly robbed her of so much of her memory, even during the last week of her life she mouthed the words to hymns when family sang to her.

The family is grateful for the care Beverly received at New Hope Manor. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date, because of the virus.
