
Bobby Edward Priddy, Sr., a resident of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2012. He was born on October 28, 1931 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Homer Thurman Priddy and Nora Belle Autry Priddy. He graduated from Northside High School, Officer’s Candidate School, The University of Texas, and The Command and General Staff College.
Bob was a career military officer, first serving in the Air Force and then the Army, and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Two of his years of service were in Viet Nam and he earned two Bronze Stars among numerous other honors. He had many avocations including dog obedience trainer, volunteer CPR Instructor-Trainer for the state of Texas, and volunteer Paramedic. His most recent activity was building computers to give away to deserving students in the Georgetown area and helping other seniors set up and learn to use their new computer systems.
Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Dorie; his four children and their spouses, Bobby Priddy, Jr. and Mary of Newport News, Virginia., Danny Priddy and Lisa of Evansville, Indiana, Diann and Robert Taylor of Garland, Texas, and Mark Priddy of Virginia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and his brother, H.T. Priddy II of Ft. Worth.
Donations may be given to the Georgetown Animal Shelter.
Private burial will be held at a later date.
