Carolyn’s early days were spent in Redford, MI with her mother, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. She took great joy in her education at St. Agatha's Catholic school and the University of Detroit. Carolyn held close to those friendships made during that time throughout her life.
Carolyn met Robert Wright while working at the Michigan Credit Union League. With her strong spirit and sense of adventure their relationship blossomed quickly. After marrying and living in Southfield, MI for a few years, they moved to Dallas, Texas to start a new adventure together, and boy did it ever become one. Making memories at every stop, enduring the southern heat and enjoying the local food, it soon felt like home. While in Dallas, she and Bob opened their home and their heart to Jean Gaucher (Carolyn's mom) for the better part of two decades. When she wasn't working at Texas Instruments, she could be found supporting her community or spending time with her nephews.
One would have thought Texas would be a dry enough climate, but the Wrights' opted for more arid weather when they moved to Clark County, NV where they remained for about 10 years.
After her mom passed, she and Bob wanted to be closer to family and moved to Austin, Texas in 2010. Carolyn continued a vibrant life, making new friends and spending time together with those friends, traveling, and creating memories with her loved ones
She will be remembered for her spark, her love of laughter, and the way she valued the close relationships in her life.
