Catherine Alice Trautman

She was born October 4, 1934, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert and Trella (Anderson) Cravens. Her father’s occupation the family had relocated frequently. In 1950 they returned to Indianapolis where Cathy graduated from Arsenal Technical School in 1952. Shortly thereafter she married the love of her life, Airman Richard C Trautman of Ft. Wayne Indiana on June 21, 1952. Together they raised three children.

Cathy worked at various companies including General Electric, Wolf and Dessauer, Nobsons, & CFAN. She worked mainly as an accounting clerk and retired at age 74. Cathy enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading and playing cards with family. She also enjoyed Bible Studies, attending Women of Faith conferences, and fellowship at church. Christmas time was very special for Cathy, baking cookies and treats for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cathy was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents Robert and Trella Cravens, and a brother Robert Dee Cravens. She is survived by her children, Tracey Lenz (Tim) Round Rock, Texas, Richard D Trautman, Columbia City, Indiana, Laura Bitzel (Patrick) Columbia City, Indiana. Grandchildren Mandy Smith (Jamie), Jacob Smith (Amy), Joshua Smith (Beth), Alyssa Jarnagin, Stephanie Sullivan, Ryan Lenz (Tracy). Great grandchildren, Xander Smith, Hannah Smith, Isabella Sullivan, Ireland Sullivan, Declan Sullivan, Syndey Lenz, Bailey and Jordyn Facer, Hannah Armpriester and Gunner Huntington.

Cathy will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her. The family would like to recognize the wonderful and caring caregivers Diana, Noella and Billie Jo. A special thank you to Austin Hospice for all that they did to make Cathy’s last months comfortable.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Georgetown at Cook Walden Davis Funeral Home on October 16, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

There will be a celebration of life in Indiana for family and friends November 6th at Smith and Sons funeral home in the Coach House, Columbia City Indiana from 10 am to 12pm.

Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
