Charles Wallace Dennison, Sr., better known as Charlie, of Houston, Texas passed away on December 20th. Charlie was the biological son of Billy and Celestia (Kee) Dennison and was blessed when Leon McKinley entered his life and became his bonus dad.
Charlie graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1962 and earned a BA in Business Management at the University of Houston. He was a cheerleader, played on the high school baseball team, and ran track. Charlie’s passions were people, new start-ups, softball, and numbers. When he was able, he would love to go fishing and make bets on who could catch the biggest fish or the most. Charlie also loved to paint pictures that he would share with his family.
Charlie is survived by his children, Charles Dennison, Jr, Cody Dennison, Danielle Harnett, Jennifer Woodward, Christi Eggstaff, and Geoffrey Turner; daughter-in-law Stefanie Dennison, son-in-law Zach Harnett and Scott Woodward; grandchildren, Harry Dennison, Ruben Dennison, Sadie Dennison, Alixis Pruitt, Cody Sample, Dylan Sample, Charlee Harnett, William Harnett, Clara Jackson, Caroline Woodward, Cate Woodward, Braden Eggstaff and Ryne Eggstaff, plus several cousins, niece and nephew.
Preceding Charles in death are his wife, Glenda Haygood Dennison; his parents; brother, Bill Goodman; his great-grandparents and many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
An inurnment memorial service will be held at the Aggie Field of Honor and Memorial Cemetery, 3800 Raymond Stotzer Parkway, College Station, Texas 77845, United States. The details will be posted when they are finalized.
