Charlotte Ann West

Born in Austin on January 5, 1940, to Sanford Thomas Ragsdale and Doris Valree Collins Ragsdale, Charlotte spent most of her life in the Central Texas area. Here is where she met and married her first husband, Thomas Wayne Dunn, which allowed her to travel to France, England and Germany. After his death, she returned to Austin and started a career at the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. While there she met and married Steve “Jack” West and moved to Leander Texas.

After her retirement from the State, she and Jack moved to Liberty Hill where she lived until 2023. She was an active member of the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church and the Over the Hill Gang and devoted much of her time to helping others.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her sister Sandra Doerr and her first born son David Allen Dunn. She is survived by her remaining sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel and wife Kimberly, Douglas and wife Kathy and stepson Steve and wife Lucy.

She is also survived by her granddaughters Stephanie Dunn and Becky West, grandsons Jacob Dunn and wife Sara, Matthew Dunn and wife Kelsey. She leaves behind three beautiful great-granddaughters Andi, Rayne and Lyra.

Visitation is planned for 9:00 am with services at 10:00 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown Texas, on Monday, January 20, 2025, while the burial service will follow at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander at 11:30 am.
