I'm sorry to hear about David's loss I just found out today through another friend. David and I grew up on the same street Sutton Dr in Plainview NY and pretty much went all the way through school together. He was a great guy always. Although we had lost touch after HS i'm sure he was still the same great guy. RIP David

Many years ago, Dave wrote in our HS yearbook, "I've known you a long time, and all those times were good times..." I imagine he penned those words over and over, such was who Dave was and how any memory he himself was a part of were good times for all who remain. May the grief of those who were closest to you be brief, and your memory be kept in all our hearts hereafter.

Dave, I thought I'll meet you at Home Depot when I come back for a visit, I still remember talking to you on my last working day at Home Depot.  I can not say adequately about your hard work, dedication and helping nature...

Dear Shuster Family,
I first met Dave when son Rick brought him home for a visit when they were at Oswego State, and he immediately became "family."  With that warm smile and kind manner we all fell in love with him.  I was just shocked when Rick returned to his home last Monday after spending the weekend with Dave and April only to receive a call that Dave had died suddenly.  I cannot imagine how sad you all are, and yet how lucky we all are to have known him and the affect he has on our lives.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Even though I had only met David once while I was on a business trip with Judith to Atlanta, he welcomed me into his home with April and Chelsie one afternoon.  I distinctly remember the sweet tea that April gave us while we watched David throw an empty water bottle around the yard for Chelsie to fetch.  It was a very fun time with lots of warmth and welcome, and no doubt indicative of how David was during his life with any and all with whom he came into contact.  My condolences to you all during this very sad time.

My thoughts and prayers are with your and your family. David will be missed here in Depot land. He was always so kind to all he met.

Dear Anita, Arnie, Jon and April,
My heart broke for you upon hearing the news about the passing of David, so sudden and final. I can only imgaine a part of what you feel.. the pain so deep.  David touched many just as you all have. Years of life and memories remain - cut short of being able to create new ones.  I fondly recall childhood activities we shared as family and times spent together as friends. David was always there with ken - so close and they were a team.  I probobly was a pest to them but then eventually we all grow up.
I was so happy for David and April as they began their life together - and then watched their journey progress to texas with anita and arnie not far behind.  David was kind and gentle. He was sweet and thoughtful. You were really blessed with him as he was a gift to treasure - just as he treasured all of you.
David will be missed. I am so gratedul to have seen him recently at your birthday anita - I will hold that as a fond memory where we shared smiles and a celebration that brought loving people together.
it is my hope that all of you will get over the shock of his passing and honnor him by living well calmly peacefully and respectfully.
If I can offer anyone anything please let me know.. Im here an ear a place to escape to.

As family friends with the Schusters during the last eight years, we knew David had two very special ladies in his life - his wife, April, and his mother, Anita (of course, we don't want to forget Chelsie either).  He was unequivocally devoted to both of them. He was a person who gave love unconditionally. We certainly don't have the words to repair April's and Anita's pain, but hope they understand what a special place each held in his heart.  We knew this by his words; by his actions.

Of course, that same devotion could be said regarding how David felt about his entire family, his friends and his work. We will always remember David by his smile and his ability to make you feel as though you were so important when you were engaged in conversations with him.

To our dear friends - April, Anita and Arnold - we certainly hope this difficult time will pass for each of you soon and that you cherish those precious memories of David's life each of you have etched in your hearts.

An unwavering dedication and commitment outweighed only by genuineness of character and spirit. Your can-do attitude was something I couldn't help but to admire.  I am grateful for the time I have spent and mournful that it could not have been longer.  May your family take some solice in the impression you left on us all.

Dave, Now I really wish I'd gotten to know you better, I thought there would be more time.  It was clear you were the kind of person that would be a great friend.  You always had a smile and a chuckle for us folks at work.

April and family, Dave was a wonderful person.  I worked with him for 6 and a half years.  He was my manager for the latter 3 years.  As you can imagine, we talked often.

He and I would start to talk about one thing, get off on a tangeant and start talking about something else.  Ten or fifteen minutes later, we would remember what we started talking about at the beginning.  Dave was just that kind of a person,  very likeable, kind, gentle, and very easy to talk to.  Not once did I see him angry - irritated a couple of times, but never angry.  He was a calm and gentle spirited person.

We will miss his presence.  But we should keep his laugh and memories of good times in our hearts.  He will always be near.
